These are the most commonly asked questions by you – our customers. We pride ourselves in answering all of your questions from scheduling a laundry service pick up to how and when it is delivered at your door. Wash and Fold has never been easier!

For our pay-as-you-go option, this includes your generic wash and fold laundry service with free pick-up & delivery. We weigh your laundry after it’s been washed and folded and send you an invoice. This is priced at 2.19/lb, that’s it! You only pay for the amount of laundry you have plus taxes. We don’t charge any other fees.

The card that is required upon scheduling a booking is mainly used to process the order after it has been delivered to you. It can also be used to charge our no-show fee of $10.00 if that occurs.

After submitting your order, place your dirty laundry in any bag you prefer (reusable, disposable, garbage bag, etc). We will wash and return your reusable bag if you wish to use one. After bagging your order, you will not need to do anything else other than place your laundry outside of your door.

Where you decide to leave your clothes for us to pickup is completely up to you! When we give you a call to follow up with you after you've made your booking, please specify where you'd like us to pickup your bag of laundry - from your doorstop or concierge. We service apartments, condos, businesses, apartments, B&B's, and everything in between. Please place your laundry in a disposable bag and we'll take care of the rest.

Depending on the time you choose when making a booking, we'll be there to pickup your laundry in whatever manner you choose (doorstep, door, concierge, etc.). We'll text you frequent updates (if you wish) and constantly keep you in the loop.

It really is as simple as 3 steps. Firstly, you make a booking appointment online. Choose whatever day and time is most convenient for you.

After that, eveything's in our hands - we'll do all the work to make sure your laundry is cleaned and smelling great. We will send an invoice to your email before your drop off time.

Lastly, a member of our team will drop off the laundry at the location specified. And don't worry, we'll give you a heads up long in advance - we know life can be very busy!

We always want to ensure that your laundry is safely in your hands after we've finished processing it. For that reason, we recommend a few options:

  • If you are not home, consider leaving your laundry with anyone that is home and can accept the laundry on your behalf.
  • If you think it's safe to do so, we can leave your laundry off at a designated area of your choosing.
  • If there's the option of a concierge or security desk at your residence, we can also leave your laundry with them!
  • Please feel free to communicate with us by either giving our number a call, or texting the number that confirms your order with us after you've made it. We're always ready to help make your laundry work easier.

Our staff will always check the pockets in your clothing and safely return to you anything that you may be missing or have forgotten. However, we always encourage our customers to take this responsibility upon themselves to ensure there is nothing left in the pockets of your clothing before preparing your order for us to pickup and process.

We want to make this as easy as possible for you. You will immediately be sent an invoice upon pickup to let you know how much your order will be.

After receiving your invoice, you have the option to prepay for your order and save 5% - you can use any credit card of your choosing. Or, you have the option to pay upon delivery. We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and Cash (tap/insert/swipe). Don't worry - we've got you covered!

No. You can have any number of pounds in your order - it can even be a single shirt! However, if your order is below the threshold we will charge you as 15lbs to cover our costs for service.

Washing FAQ

Based on the average of our customers' loads, we find that the average laundry load is on average 16-20lbs. This is roughly what a 17lb order looks like:

- 3 pairs of pants
- 2-3 pairs of shorts
- 7 pairs of underwear
- 7-10 shirts
- 1 sweater
- 1 set of bed linen
- 2 sets of bathroom sheets (towels and washing cloths)

Depending as well on your lifestyle choices (activity level, social level, do you go out a lot?) this number may also increase. As well, we've noticed an increase in average loads during different seasons throughout the year - summer/winter months more so.

Health advisors recommend washing your bed sheets minimum once per week. This ensures that bacteria and germs do not concatenate on your sheets from perspiration during sleep. Hotels are encouraged to change the bed linen in a guest room twice per week, even if that room is not being occupied. We recommend following health safety instructions and washing your sheets as per the recommended interval.
We suggest that all new under garments should be washed prior to wearing. Freshly purchased clothes can hold all types of germs and bacteria that collect throughout the display process prior to purchasing. If you have skin sensitivities, we also suggest washing all items of clothing that comes in contact with your skin before wearing.
