1stop faq
For our pay-as-you-go option, this includes your generic wash and fold laundry service with free pick-up & delivery. We weigh your laundry after it’s been washed and folded and send you an invoice. This is priced starting at 2.00/lb, that’s it! You only pay for the amount of laundry you have plus taxes. We don’t charge any other fees.
We absolutely do not wash your clothes with other people's clothes. While some services may mix customer clothing by organizing orders in "washable mesh bags", we do not encourage this method because it may pose a danger to the clothing fabric. Also, we take sanitization very seriously and recognize that customers do not appreciate this. Your clothes are safe with us!
Even better - when you're booking your appointment, you can choose to have it "repeating" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! That way, you don't have to keep scheduling your appointments. Instead, you can have us schedule your appointments automatically.
Are you someone who is forgetful? Not to worry, we send you texts, emails before every pickup so you're always on top of your schedule.
This is perfect for students, busy parents, and anyone else who can't live with doing their laundry.
We will have your clothing returned in exactly 48 hours or less, depending on if you selected a rush delivery service. More often than not, we finish laundry same day or next day.
No problem! Our service is meant to function completely contactless! If you are planning to not be home, you can inform us when booking your order to leave your laundry at a doorstep, concierge, front desk, or anywhere else. You can also reach out and contact us if it is unexpected and we will be sure to notify our team appropriately. Your clothing is always dealt with safely.
You may also choose to have us deliver your laundry to your workplace office, or any location you need.
After we collect your laundry, our wonderful driver will take it to one of our partner laundry facilities to have it washed, dried and folded. We take pride in supporting various local businesses and ensure that the same process is applied wherever you choose to use 1StopLaundry.
The card that you used at the initial time of booking will be used to pay for your laundry after it has been delivered and an invoice was sent. Totally contactless - totally easy!
Absolutely not! While we have a minimum booking charge of 15lbs, you do not need to have a minimum number of pounds for us to pickup your laundry. It's totally up to you how much you send us.

Great question — and don't be worried! Especially if it's your first time - we'll make sure you're well aware of everything once you book via SMS notifications, emails and our phone line is always ready for a call.
However, for your first pickup, you can expect to simply bag up your laundry — and don't worry about sorting anything, that's our job! — and leave your laundry outside your door at your appointed pickup time. You'll know exactly when the driver is on their way and when they've picked up your laundry! For more information to prepare you for your first pickup, visit here.
It's totally up to you! Our customers leave their clothes outside their door, or wait to have the driver knock before handing them their laundry bags.
In your case, you can leave specific instructions to your 1Stop Driver when you're booking your appointment!

1Stop is much different than a laundromat for the simple fact that, for the same price and a fraction of the time, we do it all for you. You earn time back at the luxury of convenience.
Forget waiting for dryers to spin and washers to cycle.. have us do it all for you.
Also, we have a page dedicated for what makes us different than a laundromat! Check it out.
We always check pockets when doing laundry, however sometimes, things can be missed. For that reason, we always encourage you to check your pockets before giving us your laundry!

Based on the average of our customers' loads, we find that the average laundry load is on average 16-20lbs. This is roughly what a 17lb order looks like:
- 3 pairs of pants
- 2-3 pairs of shorts
- 7 pairs of underwear
- 7-10 shirts
- 1 sweater
- 1 set of bed linen
- 2 sets of bathroom sheets (towels and washing cloths)
Depending as well on your lifestyle choices (activity level, social level, do you go out a lot?) this number may also increase. As well, we've noticed an increase in average loads during different seasons throughout the year - summer/winter months more so.
Health advisors recommend washing your bed sheets minimum once per week. This ensures that bacteria and germs do not concatenate on your sheets from perspiration during sleep. Hotels are encouraged to change the bed linen in a guest room twice per week, even if that room is not being occupied. We recommend following health safety instructions and washing your sheets as per the recommended interval.
We suggest that all new under garments should be washed prior to wearing. Freshly purchased clothes can hold all types of germs and bacteria that collect throughout the display process prior to purchasing. If you have skin sensitivities, we also suggest washing all items of clothing that comes in contact with your skin before wearing.
